The BEST that TV can offer!
Here, are all 156 Episodes of the Queen Of Comedy's hit series, The Lucy Show. All 6 seasons were a big success, and Lucy won back to back Emmy's for the Fifth and Sixth season. .... Buy this! It doesn't get any better than Lucille Ball.
What's not to love?
It seems whenever I mention how much I enjoy THE LUCY SHOW, somebody jumps up and starts waving their arms and defending I LOVE LUCY. Okay, so let's get this out of the way: I agree. I LOVE LUCY is a better representation of Lucille Ball's genius than THE LUCY SHOW. However, that doesn't take away from my sheer joy of just plopping down in front of the TV with a giant bowl of popcorn and watching 30 episodes of hilarity. A couple of the reviewers have mentioned b&w vs. color. There's an interesting in the set-up menu in which viewers can select "vintage" and at least see the opening credits and sponsored commercials in their original b&w.
Well worth the money.
We Still Love Lucy!
For the price, this set is INCREDIBLE!!! Great restoration (although I wish a bluray set was available, considering it was an HD restoration). Lucy is hilarious, stunning, and amazing as always! She truly had a hit on her hands with The Lucy Show.
Not much to say, except get this set!!!! Amazing and hilarious show for the whole family, fantastic cast (with so many familiar faces from I Love Lucy), Lucy on her A+++ game and being the queen of comedy as always, great restoration, hours of bonus content, and fabulous price! We will always love Lucy!!!!
(Little negative note: my season 3 of the Lucy Show arrived without a slip cover on the DVD set, unlike the other 5 sets, which was strange. It didn't bother me enough to return it)
